ROBLOX was hacked: This was no April Fools joke. on 4/2/2012, 6:58 am
WHAT HAPPENED?

VERY shortly after this happened and the forum was already flooding with contreversy, the users Are17 (best friend of Are92 in real life) and Pheedy (user who was deleted) suddenly became Administrators and posted on the forums. As well as other deleted user such as Dignity being un-deleted too. The first thing that was targeted was the announcement bar.

After this all started happening, over 25 new hats were uploaded into the Catalog, past hats that were limited only to even 1 seller before were being sold for 1$ and limited hats such as the Dominus Infernus were even was targeted. While it appeared that you needed 26k ROBUX to purchase, it actually was edited so when you purchased it that it only required 26k TIX. Though it seemed like things wouldn't get worst, it certainly did once it was 100% true that the account "ROBLOX" was yet again hacked.

THE AFTERMATH
Additionally for more evidence of the hacking, there are 3 stickied posts in Look What I Made by Are17 that will surely be there for a few more hours. Links provided below:

WHO'S RESPONSIBLE?
A user named Merely was the one behind the ROBUX exploiting, and not only was giving himself money, but random other users. This was done supposedly in relation to the Trade Currency, though that's still unconfirmed. With this money, he apparently decided to purchased Pheedy's Domino Crown. (which typically was overpriced and based on the below picture was possibly 2 million)

I'm not sure personally with this connection, but its possibly the reason that this hacking occurred, based on this post by Pheedy.
The most likely suspect in terms of the hacking seems to be Pheedy. For the revived account, posts referring to him in the announcements bar, and a slight (though unreliable) account description that connects Pheedy and McNoobster. However, Minish is also referred to as a part of the team in this case with the announcements, and if you haven't already searched Minish's name in the search bar, here are the results:

So obviously it may be the case that he was involved in the matter, but nothing can really be confirmed about this because its just as likely that they could be impersonating or targeting them specifically. We may never know who did it unless ROBLOX tells us. The names of these hackers certainly won't be released by ROBLOX, but if they sue them in a public case we will be able to find this information out ourselves.
![]() | ROBLOX as of April 1st was hacked during the late evening time, and at first glance it appeared to be an obvious April Fools joke as I'm sure we all thought it was. It all began when ROBLOX uploaded this face into the catalog. A good laugh, as they recently posted about new faces and such in the blog, however whether or not this was a joke, it seems unlikely considering what happened afterwards. No one was able to purchase the face in the catalog, and it didn't appear on ROBLOX's profile either. Yet, Stickmasterluke had it and was wearing it making everyone think it was an obvious joke. How wrong that was, as it got very serious afterwards. |

- ReeseMcBlox
- Pheedy
- Minish
- Are17
- Merely
- Dignity
- No action has been taken yet, but there have been few staff that acknowledged it such as Anaminus on his twitter, Stickmasterluke (though he deleted the tweets) , and Briguy also on Twitter.
- The Trade Currency and all purchasable items on ROBLOX are disabled currently as well to prevent people from abusing the hats the possibly shouldn't have been released, the items that had prices edited, and to prevent the abused ROBUX hack to be used for donations to other users. — To note, you can't even Take models or decals either right now.
- Many owners of rare hats that sold them for ridiculous prices thinking they would never be purchased have lost their hats. Specifically: Amura, Stickmasterluke, and many others.
